At RavenWhisp, we worked on our branding to show our love and creative spirit as a videogame studio. The elements for our visual identity, from typography to color, are chosen to reflect our personality when developing our own game: curious, delighted, and just a little bit mischievous.
Logo
Our logo is an imagotype: a combination of symbol and text. The symbol itself is a hand-drawn raven, affectionately known as Birdy.
Birdy isn’t your typical raven. Instead of leaning into darkness or intimidation, we designed it to be cute, friendly, and full of personality. It represents our studio’s playful side and helps make our brand feel approachable.
Honestly, Birdy is so cute that we use it everywhere - stickers, icons, little decorative touches… it just works. The design is flexible enough to live beyond the logo, becoming a character in its own right (and yes, we love it a bit too much).
As you can see in the image above we worked around searching for the cutest raven, the one that would have our beliefs and personality invaded in its person, or bird. It was a long journey that our poor artist had to go through, but she presented us with the utmost spectacular ravens, and Birdy Frederico Bran Theodore Agila the Second was born, or Birdy for short.
Typography
Our primary typeface is Finlandica, a clean, non-serif font that gives us a modern and approachable look. It’s simple and readable, and suitable for a videogame studio.
We’ve also customized the lettering slightly—most notably the “A” in RavenWhisp, which has been reshaped to resemble the silhouette of our Birdy. It’s a small detail, but one that ties the entire identity together.
Colors
Our color palette is intentionally restrained: dark gray, black, white, and purple.
We often work in monochromatic compositions, using contrast and simplicity to create a strong visual impact. This limited palette keeps everything cohesive and allows our visuals to stay recognizable across different contexts.
Tone and Style
RavenWhisp’s tone is light, humorous, and a little quirky. We prefer having fun rather than being super serious all the time, so we aimed to reflect this in how we communicate RavenWhisp.
Visually, we aim for a minimalistic style. Clean layouts, simple forms, and thoughtful details help us stay focused while still leaving room for charm and personality to shine through—especially with Birdy popping up here and there.
